Grasland (use a fixed-width font like Courier to display the tables correctly) Mummy curses ~~~~~~~~~~~~ When a Mummy, a Guardian Mummy, a Mummy Priest or a Greater Mummy is killed, a curse is casted. As many curses only affect the creature that killed the mummy, you may want to have an ally do the final blow if possible. No curse is casted if a mummy is banished to the Abyss, kills itself while confused or is killed by a Giant Spore, a Ball Lightning or a trap. Curses description ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Possible curses are item curse and all necromancy miscast effects. Followers of Sif Muna and Kikubaaqudgha with enough piety are immune to these miscasts as usual (but not to item cursing). Item curse ========== Possible items are all (uncursed) weapons, pieces of armours, jewellery and potions (except potions of decay), randomly selected with an equal chance for each (stacks of potions count as 1). If a stack of potions is selected, a random number of potions between 2 and the whole stack is turned into potions of decay. "You feel nervous for a moment..." (Mummies characters) Rotting (strong) ================ Unless the killer resist rotting (undeads mostly), it will gain 1-7 points of rotting: its max HP will be progressively reduced by this amount within a short time, unless it drinks a potion of healing. "You feel your flesh rotting away!" Torment ======= The killer's current HP is halved. If you're the one affected, you take 5% less damage per level of negative energy resistance (50% of your HP with no resistance, 45% at level 1, 40% at level 2 and 35% at level 3). "Your body is wracked with pain!" "You feel a surge of unholy energy." (if you are immune to Torment) "[The killer] convulses!" (if you're not the killer) "Something just walked over your grave. (if the killer is an undead) Draining ======== You lose between 10 and 20% of the total experience needed to go from your experience level to the next one. (if you're not the killer) Stat drain ========== One of your stats (chosen at random) is temporary decreased by 1-7 points. If the stat is reduced to 0, you die (try to keep your stats at 8 or higher!).
